The Atebubu Traditional Council has disowned and banished former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Atebubu Amantin Constituency, severing all ties that existed between him and the council.
Sanja Nanja is said to have hurled insults at the Queen mother of Atebubu, and was asked to pacify the gods and the Queen mother but he disrespected the directive and refused to perform the required rites.
Though he sent some paramount chiefs to plead on his behalf, the traditional council insists he must perform the rites.
The traditional council in a letter signed by Nana Owusu Acheaw Brempong and sighted by MyNewsGh.com, has since warned the former MP not to do anything in the name of the Atebubu or adjourning communities
The council in a petition to the NDC, further warned Sanja Nanja not to seek any positions in the name of Atebubu which will inflame passions threatening that refusal will amount to severe repercussions.
It therefore advised the NDC not to link the matter to the party explaining that it is treated separately between Sanja Nanja and the traditional council.
Furtherance to the latest directive, it warned the NDC not to dare to choose Sanja Nanja as its candidate to contest the forthcoming parliamentary elections adding that they are ready to work with any member of the NDC apart from him.
